League Update

Hi Folks

The Black Horse's 9-2 win over the Fox & Hounds A sees them jump into first place one point ahead of The Spotted Dog and Yattendon's 8-3 win over the Fox & Hounds B sees them take third spot.

There was achange at the bottom of the table, the Catholic Club's impressive 7-4 win over the Ibex saw them lift off from the bottom.

I have to highlight some exceptional darts this week, John Futcher from The Wheatsheaf in the doubles played like a demon his right handed 180 (9 (NINE) that's treble one, treble one, and another treble one) was the finest three darts of the night. If Only.....cheers John.

Can I ask Captain's that have to arrange cancelled matches to try and get them completed as soon as possible, Thanks.

Happy Darting

Steve

Les Winkworth

Les_WinkworthI'm sure I speak for all the lads and ladies from The Black Horse and The Spotted Dog when I say how sad we all are at the news of Les Winkworth's sudden death. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family and close friends.

Les was part of the Friday night crew that gathered at the Catholic Club for a pint and a game of darts. He was one of life's good guys and will be very much missed by all that knew him.

The funeral will be held at St Mary's Church, Church Gate, in  Thatcham on Thursday 11th Feb at 2pm. Click here for church website

Rest in Peace.

Well it appears we're playing Musical Pubs, now it's the turn of The Cottage to change pubs again, they are off to The Wheatsheaf in Thatcham, almost opposite the Police Station.

In order to avoid the Fox and Hounds having four teams playing at the pub on one night I have swapped the original home and away dates for the Fox & Hounds B vs Catholic Club and The Ibex.

The new fixtures are as follows:
04 Jan 2010 Fox & Hounds B v Catholic Club
11 Jan 2010 Ibex v Fox Hounds B
22 Feb 2010 Catholic Club v Fox & Hounds B
01 Mar 2010 Fox & Hounds B v Ibex

Due to the number of changes I have added an updated date to the fixture list, please ensure you are using the correct one (09-12-2009).

Yet again the website fixture list has been updated as has the downloadable one, new printed fixtures lists will be distributed during the week.

Please give me a call with any concerns. Thank you.
